Medieval English Archer's Sword – Historical Short Sword Replica

English Archers's wielded the English longbow, a deadly weapon and a marvel of engineering. It enabled the English armies to strike devastating blows at great range at very little risk to themselves. However, as they were only truly effective at a distance, if the archers were attacked they would need a close range weapon to defend themselves with. This weapon would later be referred to as an Archer’s Sword.

This replica is full tang, with a short hardwood handle which makes it surprisingly easy to handle. The blade has a light polished finish, with polished steel fittings supplied with a faux leather-covered hardwood scabbard.
